<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a workflow of an entire AP laboratory by better adjustment of information management. <P>SOLUTION: A method for mechanically processing information related to a tissue sample to be dyed in a laboratory includes steps of: placing, adjacent to a cutting station, a label printer which is configured to access patient's data from an LIS, has a data element scanner, and is network-connected; reading cassette data from a data element of a tissue cassette and uploading the cassette data to the LIS; accessing a test instruction to the tissue sample via the LIS; instructing the label printer to print a label for encoding a test procedure identifier of a procedure that is performed with respect to respective tissue slices; printing the label for encoding the test procedure identifier of the procedure; attaching each label to a slide; and cutting at least one tissue slice and mounting it on the each labelled slide. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
