<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost diaphragm pump having a simple configuration for space-saving, and improved seal performance of a valve part. <P>SOLUTION: The diaphragm pump includes: a pump chamber formed of a diaphragm and expanded and contracted; a suction passage 3 for sucking fluid such as gas or liquid into the pump chamber; a discharge passage for discharging the fluid in the pump chamber; a suction valve 5 provided to the suction passage 3 and regulating a fluid backflow from the pump chamber to the suction passage 3; and a discharge valve provided to the discharge passage and regulating the fluid backflow to the pump chamber.
