<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system that controls the amount of oxygen-containing gas supplied to a selective oxidation catalyst with simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: When the temperature of a selective oxidation catalyst 31 is high, it is considered that much air is supplied to the selective oxidation catalyst 31 to cause methanation reaction in which hydrogen changes into methane and fuel of a fuel cell becomes deficient to cause a voltage drop. A control unit 10 therefore controls a blower 33 to reduce the amount of air supplied to the selective oxidation catalyst 31 when the temperature of the selective oxidation catalyst 31 is higher than a first reference temperature. When the temperature of the selective oxidation catalyst 31 is low, on the other hand, it is considered that the amount of air supplied to the selective oxidation catalyst 31 is small and the carbon monoxide concentration in reformed gas increases to cause a voltage drop across a fuel cell. The control unit 10 therefore controls the blower 33 to increase the amount of air supplied to the selective oxidation catalyst 31 when the temperature of the selective oxidation catalyst 31 is lower than a second reference temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
