摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device capable of improving the picture quality of a display and reducing a power consumption simultaneously. <P>SOLUTION: The image display device includes: pixels each having a light-emitting element and disposed in a matrix; video signal voltage generation means; a signal wire for inputting in the pixels a video signal voltage generated by the video signal voltage generation means; a power line for supplying the light emitting elements with a light-emitting power; and a power supply circuit connected to the power line. Each pixel has a field-effect transistor for controlling the light emission of the light-emitting element based on the video signal voltage, one end of the field-effect transistor is connected to the light-emitting element, and the other end of the field-effect transistor is connected to the power line. In a high-voltage output mode and a low-voltage output mode, the power circuit switches the voltage output from the power supply circuit to the power line, in the high voltage output mode, actuates the field-effect transistor in a saturation region and, in the low voltage output mode, actuates the field-effect transistor in an unsaturated region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
