<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pixel circuit capable of simultaneously correcting influence of both threshold voltage and mobility of a drive transistor. <P>SOLUTION: In a pixel circuit, correction means is connected with a drive transistor Tr2 and a capacity part Cs1 and operates during a correction period that is set ahead of a sampling period. The correction period is divided into a reset period and a detection period. In the reset period, the correction means conducts electricity to the capacity part Cs1 to reset its potential. In the detection period, the correction means cuts off the electricity conduction and detects a potential difference across a source S and a gate G of the drive transistor Tr2 while a transient current Iref flows therethrough. The capacity part Cs1 retains a potential corresponding to the detected potential difference. The potential includes both a component that diminishes influence of threshold voltage on a output current of the drive transistor Tr2 and a component that diminishes influence of carrier mobility. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
