<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an activation device capable of easily discriminating the operating state of a plunger from the outer side of a casing. <P>SOLUTION: An activation device includes a casing 11, a pressing member 15 for passing through a partition part of the casing 11 in the vertical direction, a lid member 17 which is arranged on the casing 11 in a visually recognizable manner from the outer side, engaged with the pressing member 15 in an attaching/detaching manner, and brought into contact with the casing 11 and detached from the pressing member 15 and the casing 11, an urging member for urging the pressing member 15 so as to be moved upwardly from the fixed position, a cylindrical expansion member which is passed through the pressing member 15 below the partition part and expandable in the radial direction, and a restriction member for restricting the expansion of the expansion member. The expansion member is abutted on the partition part to prevent the upward movement of the pressing member 15, and brought into slidable contact with the pressing member 15 so as to be expanded according to the upward movement of the pressing member 15.
