<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of safely and simply manufacturing a porous cellulose film which can be utilized as an adsorbent of various substances without using a solvent with high toxicity, such as calcium thiocyanate, wherein the method controls the shape, the membranous thickness, and the shape of a hole. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a cellulose porous film is characterized as follows. A solution containing cellulose and an ion liquid is solidified by bringing the solution into contact with a cellulose undissolved liquid. The ion liquid which can be separated/recovered is used, thereby manufacturing a cellulose porous film more safely, at lower cost, and with outstanding productive efficiency. The kind and composition of a cellulose undissolved solvent, the shape of a mold to be used, and the injection rate of a cellulose solution to a mold are altered, thereby changing the shape, thickness, and pore diameter of a cellulose porous film.
