<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modular jack in which an opening of a metal case 6 is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: A modular jack 1 comprises: a main body 2 provided with a plug insertion hole 3b; and a metal case 6 covering the main body 2. The metal case 6 is assembled by folding a metal plate and has a flat plate part 62 provided with an edge 62C and an engagement hole 62b arranged in the vicinity of the edge 62C. The main body 2 comprises: a surface 32A having an engagement protrusion 32C which faces the flat plate part 62 and engages with the engagement hole 62b; and a lift prevention piece 42 arranged in the vicinity of the engagement protrusion 32C to prevent the edge 62C from being lifted from the surface 32A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
