<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a cost for backfill material and to alleviate an environmental burden. <P>SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method of a backfill material with which to backfill an upper section of a hole 22 above a pile 26 installed in the hole 22 excavated in the ground 21, the manufacturing method uses a sandy component of generated soil 24 generated by excavating the ground 21 as a raw material and mixes the same with water, cement and dispersant as additives. Or the manufacturing method uses a cohesive soil component of the generated soil 24 generated by excavating the ground 21 as the raw material and mixes the same with the water and cement as the additives. Thus, by effectively utilizing the generated soil 24, the manufacturing method can reduce procurement costs for the backfill materials 27 and 28.
