<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus that can detect a status where inclinations of each carriage are different. <P>SOLUTION: The recording apparatus includes: a first carriage (5) that mounts first recording heads (21, 22) having a first nozzle lines for ejecting an ink; a second carriage (6) that mounts second recording heads (23, 24, 25) having a second nozzle lines for ejecting the ink; a light emission element (201) for emitting light;a light receiving element (301) corresponding to the light emission element (201) for changing the levels of output signal when the ink ejected from either the first nozzle line or the second nozzle line crosses the light emitted from the light emission element (201); and a detection means (100) that detects difference of the inclinations between the first carriage (5) and the second carriage (6) based on the first output signal obtained from the light receiving element (301) when the ink is ejected from the first nozzle line, and the second output signal obtained from the light receiving element (301) when the ink is ejected from the second nozzle line. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
