<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor which has excellent charge transporting properties, has strong solvent crack resistance, and contains a specific furan derivative on a surface layer of a photosensitive layer. <P>SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic photoreceptor having at least a photosensitive layer on a conductive support, the surface layer of the photosensitive layer contains a furan derivative expressed by general formula (1).
