The invention relates to a fire alarm (2) for hooking up to an alarm line (3), which in turn is connected to a control center (1). The fire alarm comprises a receiver (4) for receiving a digital alarm address (ADR) output by the control center to the alarm line. The fire alarm comprises an address comparator (5) for comparing the received alarm address (ADR) to an individual selection address (ADR1-ADR6) which can be set in the fire alarm, and additionally comprises a detector unit (21) for at least one fire characteristic and for outputting a detector status (ST). The fire alarm further comprises a transmitter (22) for sending the current detector status via the alarm line to the control center in the event of a positive address comparison. According to the invention, the receiver comprises a series of bandpass filters (42) for frequency decoding an alarm address transmitted by the control center in a multifrequency-encoded manner. The invention further relates to the use of such a fire alarm, to a control center (1) for addressing a plurality of such fire alarms and for receiving a detector status output by the respective addressed fire alarm, and to a fire alarm system (100). |
