When performing a divided pilot injection of a first pilot injection and a second pilot injection, the second pilot injection pressure setpoint value is set depending on whether the pilot injection is required to perform a preheating function or a premixing function. After the first pilot injection, the fuel pressure, rising and falling due to pulsation generated inside the injector, is detected by means of a sensor, and the second pilot injection is performed at a timing at which said fuel pressure matches the second pilot injection pressure setpoint value. |
