The spindle drive (1) has primary component in the form of threaded spindle (2) and secondary component in the form of threaded spindle nut (4), where one of the components is fixed and the other is moved on threaded spindle in axial direction. Several excitation units are provided for generating magnetic fields which act on movable component for rotating the component. The two spaced ball bearings (7) are provided between threaded spindle and nut with respect to ring (8). Several balls (10) are supported on ring, which are passed in the threads (13) of threaded spindle.
