<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily obtain an optimum contact distance between a photoreceptor drum and a developing roller and to improve image quality. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming unit includes: an image carrier for carrying an electrostatic latent image thereon; a developer carrier disposed opposite to the image carrier and used for conveying a developer to the image carrier; distance adjustment members disposed on both sides of the developer carrier and used for adjusting a distance between the image carrier and the developer carrier by abutting on the image carrier; and a distance adjustment auxiliary member disposed on a shaft member of the developer carrier so as to be rotatable and movable in the axial direction and having an external circumferential surface. The distance between the image carrier and the developer carrier is defined by bringing the external circumferential surface of the distance adjustment auxiliary member into contact with an internal wall of a hole formed in the distance adjustment member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
