<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate such as an automatic ticket gate capable of surely eliminating a possibility of collision with a door, by providing a guide notification related to a closed state of the door for intercepting passage with tactile information besides current visual information and auditory information, and further surely notifying a passer-by of the closed state of the door. <P>SOLUTION: An automatic ticket gate 10 or the like is a gate device including: an automatically opening/closing type passage interception doors 24 provided at an exit side of a ticket examination passage 12; and a control section 26 that controls permission/non-permission of the passage by making the passage interception doors 24 an open state or a closed state based on the determination of passage conditions.
