<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus and an image processing system with a simpler configuration that process even document data which is created by another apparatus and cannot be handled by the present apparatus in a distribution system where apparatuses connected on a network complement mutually a providing service. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus in the present invention comprises: document acquiring means which acquires stored document data together with at least format information of the document data and attribute information including creation device information from a file server; processing deciding means which decides whether the document data acquired by the present apparatus can be processed or can not be processed based on format information of the attribute information; device specifying means which specifies a creation device which has created the document data based on the creation device information of the attribute information when it is decided that processing is impossible; and function acquisition means which acquires a functional program capable of processing the acquired document data by the format from the image processing apparatus which is specified to be the creation device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
