<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Doppler SODAR system capable of obtaining a wind direction/wind speed value at any arbitrary position in the sky with sufficient spatial resolution and precision. <P>SOLUTION: A bistatic type Doppler SODAR system has a transceiver which is provided at one spot, radiates an acoustic beam to the sky and receives a scattered wave, and receivers provided at two or more spots different from a place where the transceiver is installed, each for receiving a scattered wave. In the bistatic type Doppler SODAR system, as the transceiver and each of the receivers, those of a phased array type is used in which a plurality of acoustic elements are arrayed. In the phased array type transceiver and receivers, a radiation direction of the acoustic beams is controlled and a manner in which a scattered wave to be received is inputted is controlled in receiving the scattered wave. Therefore, a wind direction/wind speed value at any arbitrary measuring position in the sky is calculated on the basis of a Doppler shift component in the scattered wave. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
