<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor unit of an air conditioner that prevents the air filter projected outside from an air filter port from coming into contact with the ceiling surface or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The invention includes: a top suction port 5 formed in an indoor unit body 1; the air filter that removes dust contained in air sucked into the indoor unit body 1 from the top suction port 5; and an air filter port 14 where the air filter moves in and out of the external surface of a top suction port of the indoor unit body 1.
