<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve uneven wear resistance performance of a tire while suppressing degradation in performances on snow and ice. <P>SOLUTION: The tread 12 of the tire includes blocks 16 segmented by at least lug grooves 14, in which sipes 20 extending in a tire width direction are formed and rigidity in a circumference direction of the tire in sections defined by the sipes 20 increases in geometric progression from a kick-out end 16A to a step-in end 16F. Since a section with higher rigidity generates larger wear energy compared with a section with lower rigidity, the difference in wear energy between the step-in end 16F and the kick-out end 16A of the block 16 decreases. Since the change of the volume of the lug grooves 14 is not required, shearing force on snow columns in the lug grooves 14 can be maintained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
