<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin display device that allows input operation with a stable display. <P>SOLUTION: The display device includes a pair of insulative substrates 2 and 3 facing each other, electrochromic elements 4 and 5, and an electrolyte layer 11. A plurality of electrodes 6 and 9 constituting the electrochromic elements are arranged with an interval therebetween in the same space of the substrates. The substrate 3 is composed of flexible materials whose outer surface is used as an input operation face 3a. Counter electrodes 21 and 22 of an input element 20 are formed with intervals to respective electrodes 6 and 9 of the electrochromic elements in a plan view between the pair of insulative substrates 2 and 3.
