<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device capable of reducing correction processing for maintaining the gain of a servo system of a spindle motor in a required gain in accordance with a rotational speed. <P>SOLUTION: The device which selectively uses first servo control for controlling the rotational speed of a spindle motor with a CLV by using a first synchronizing signal (23: SYNC signal) acquired from a recording medium (1) rotationally driven by a spindle motor (2) or second servo control for controlling the rotational speed of the spindle motor with a CAV by using a second synchronizing signal (31: FG signal) acquired by the rotation of the spindle motor is provided with auto gain control sections (13, 14) for controlling a loop gain in a servo loop of the second servo control in accordance with the frequency of the second synchronizing signal. Gain correction of the second servo control loop has only to be performed on the basis of the frequency of the second synchronizing signal when switching the first servo control using the first synchronizing signal to the second servo control so as to maintain a linear speed at that time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
