<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device of an automobile capable of securing a required energy absorption stroke and absorbing a collision load by a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: In a part of an outer shaft 20 that is exposed to an insertion end 21b of an inner shaft 21, a guide 24 having a guide surface 24a extending radially outward from a shaft core of the outer shaft 20 and a communication hole 20b making the guide 24 communicate with the outside of the outer shaft 20. When the outer shaft 20 and the inner shaft 21 are relatively contracted in an axial direction, at least the insertion end 21b of the inner shaft 21 projects outward from the communication hole 20b while being bent and deformed along the guide surface 24a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
