<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide printing paper that is non-coated paper highly blending wastepaper pulp, has high visibility of a printed image and hue attracting a lot of people's attention, is free from occurrence of paper pick and fuzz, and is suitable for applications as a leaflet. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided printing paper meeting the following requirements (1) to (5): (1) hue by the Lab colorimetric system is L=70 to 80, a=-12 to -2, b=25 to 40 measured in conformity to JISP8150; (2) opacity is 90% or more; (3) a basis weight is 40 to 55 g/m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>; (4) smoothness is 20 to 80 seconds; and (5) at least one surface is coated with a surface treatment agent in an amount of 0.1 to 1.0 g/m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>in terms of solid content based on the coated surface.
