<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device having a long drive time or a high energy saving performance by recovering energy of light substantially not utilized in light-emitting operation or display operation and reusing the recovered energy as an operation source, and to provide an electronic apparatus mounting the light-emitting device. <P>SOLUTION: On the outside of the side surface of a display panel 110, a light guide member 120 consisting of an optical member such as a prism or a reflector is provided. Out of light radiated from respective organic EL elements arranged in pixel array during display operation, the side surface light LTs not emitted to the emission side of the display panel 110 and not contributive to display operation is refracted or reflected in an arbitrary direction, and a photoelectric conversion element, i.e. a solar cell 130, is irradiated with condensed refraction light LTr. Consequently, the light energy of the refraction light LTr is converted into electric energy in the solar cell 130 and stored in a storage battery 140. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
