<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bacillus subtilis battery, since an electrode (for example, a positive electrode: a carbon rod, a negative electrode: a zinc rod) put ino water generates electromotive force and an electrode inserted into Natto (stringy Natto) generates electromotive force which is more powerful electric power than when an electrode is put into water, and also because Natto has Natto bacillus generating inorganic materials and Natto bacillus is the same kind as bacillus subtilis, bacillus subtilis must work to generate electromotive force. <P>SOLUTION: A bacillus subtilis battery shows that if a rice straw is soaked into water in a container for 5 hours, an electrode is put into the water, and then the rice straw is connected to a tester, electromotive force is generated to be more powerful than if the electrode is put into plain water.
