CONTROL SYSTEM AND HYDROELECTRIC POWER PLANT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control system and a hydroelectric power plant, capable of sufficiently obtaining a backwash effect even when the turbidity of intake water is high.

SOLUTION: The control system installed in a run-off-river hydroelectric power plant for controlling the backwash of a backwashable strainer having a water intake position on the upstream of a generator inside a water channel includes: a detector which is installed on the upstream of the water intake position of strainer and detects the turbidity of the water; and a control part which sets the frequency of the backwash of the strainer corresponding to the turbidity of the water detected by the detector.
