The invention relates to a structure (1) that can channel transverse elastic waves around a zone (2) of a plate (PL), which is to be insulated. The structure has an anisotropic Young's modulus and/or a heterogeneous density, and the wavelengths of the waves to be channelled are large in relation to the thickness of the plate and small in relation to the other dimensions of the plate. The structure is formed such as to define a mesh of a ring-shaped zone surrounding the zone (2) to be insulated, dividing the peripheral zone into multiple elementary rings and into multiple elementary angular sectors. Moreover, in each mesh defined by an elementary angular sector and an elementary ring, a structural element (Pij) is formed in a material having a Young's modulus and/or a density different from those of the material forming the plate (PL), the dimensions of the meshes and the structural elements being less than half the wavelengths of the waves to be channelled. |
