The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for the cooperative localization of a first node (131, 132) on a first mobile body (103) comprising multiple nodes for the wireless transmission and/or reception of a signal. The invention is characterized in that the method includes a step of measuring distances between the or said first node and second nodes, each of said second nodes being provided on one of the following entities: - the first mobile body (103); - a stationary remote device and a second mobile body, both of which are located within the transmission range of said mobile body, at least two of all the second nodes used for the distance measurements being provided on two separate entities and/or on the second mobile body, and a step of processing said measurements to localize at least the first node at least in relation to some of said second nodes.
