A method for producing metal composite material by cold deformation recrystallization process is disclosed, which can be used to combine two or several metal materials with the same or different composition. The method is mainly composed of the following steps: firstly, the surface layers of the two metal materials are removed by mechanical machining to bring cold hardening on the machined surfaces and make the surface smooth and clean; secondly, the machined surfaces of the metal materials are completely overlapped and attached vis-à-vis, and welded along the sidelines of the overlapped surfaces under pressure and/or vacuum; thirdly, the welded assembly blank is heated over the recovery-recrystallization temperature of the materials (Tr=0.4Tm) to combine the two metal materials into one. The method can be used to combine stainless steel with plain carbon steel, nickel or titanium with plain carbon steel, and so on, and can also be used to combine several thin layers of the same materials into a thick one. |
