The machine has substance cleaning assemblies provided in a raw material treatment assembly (1) and formed as slotted sorters with slot width of 0.15 mm. A single press nip is formed as an extended press nip i.e. shoe press nip, and arranged between a cylindrical counter roller and a press roller. The press nip comprises a hydraulic shoe pressing element pressed against a flexible cladding. A drying assembly is provided in a drying section or pre-drying section (6) for drying a fibrous material web and has an impervious metallic or plastic tape. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a fibrous material web.
