<p>A method for controlling a charger (220) to charge a power source of an electronic device (210) includes connecting the charger (220) and the electronic device (210) and determining whether the power source of the electronic device (210) is to be charged. The method further includes, the electronic device (210), sending a first control signal to the charger (220) to enable charging of the power source of the electronic device (210) in response to determining that the power source is to be charged and sending a second control signal to the charger (220) to disable charging of the power source of the electronic device (210) in response to determining that the power source is not to be charged.</p>
