<p>A display device is provided with a light source unit, a projection unit, a display generating means, and a display switching means. The light source unit is installed in a vehicle, and emits light that constitutes display images. The projection unit projects display images, and displays the display images as virtual images. The display generating means generates the display images on the basis of auxiliary information for driving. The display switching means switches the display position of a virtual image to a position that overlaps with the upper part of the windshield of a vehicle or a position that overlaps with the lower part of the windshield. The display generating means differentiates between a guidance method that depends on auxiliary information represented by virtual images displayed at a position that overlaps with the upper part of the windshield, and a guidance method that depends on auxiliary information represented by virtual images displayed at a position that overlaps with the lower part of the windshield.</p> |
