<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recorder, a method for recording an image, a program, and a storage medium capable of recording a moving image without changing a texture even in the case of switching a frame rate at the time of reading an image signal from an imaging device. <P>SOLUTION: A video camera 100 is provided with a CPU 102 and a control unit 105. The video camera 100 is provided with a normal mode where photographing is performed only by a normal frame rate, and with an S mode where photographing at the normal frame rate and a high-speed frame rate of a triple speed can be switched. The CPU 102, in the case where the normal mode is selected by the control unit 105, uses a program diagram for the normal frame rate for subsequent exposure control.
