<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a billet heater in which less heat or over heat occurring easily in a billet material when heating is started or finished can be inhibited by simple control, and the yield can be enhanced when the billet material is heated. <P>SOLUTION: A billet heater 10 using an induction heating coil 12 comprises an inverter 20 which supplies a current to the induction heating coil 12, and a control unit 26 which detects the frequency of an output current from the inverter 20, calculates an output voltage required for obtaining a predetermined heat value based on the predetermined heat value and the frequency and then outputting a signal for correcting the output voltage to the inverter 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
