<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve excellent ignitability while preventing the occurrence of accidental fire. <P>SOLUTION: An ignition plug comprises: an insulator having a shaft hole; a high-voltage electrode which is arranged in the shaft hole and to which voltage from a discharging power source 111 is applied; an AC electrode to which AC power from an AC power source 121 is supplied; a main fitting 3 which is arranged on the outer periphery of the insulator; and a ground electrode 27 which is fixed at the tip of the main fitting 3, and which forms a spark discharge gap 33 between itself and the high-voltage electrode 5 or a center electrode 73. The AC electrode faces the high-voltage electrode 5 or the center electrode 73 across the insulator 2 or a dielectric 75. The AC power from the AC power source 121 is applied to spark generated in the spark discharge gap 33 via a capacitor made up of the AC electrode, the high-voltage electrode 5 or the center electrode 73, and the insulator 2 or the dielectric 75. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
