USE OF ESSENTIAL OIL OF OREGANO OR OF ROSEWOOD IN THE TREATMENT OF ACTINIC KERATOSES

The present invention relates to various cosmetic uses of compositions comprising an essential oil or a constituent thereof, preferably a major constituent, in the targeted treatment and the prevention of benign keratoses, and more particularly of keratoses induced by solar radiation on the skin of an individual. The present invention relates most particularly to compositions based on the essential oil of oregano or of rosewood, or else on linalol, thymol or carvacrol. The present invention also relates to therapeutic applications of a composition as described, in the prevention or the targeted treatment of actinic keratoses, essentially in a prophylactic perspective.
