A memory interleaving device for accessing memory by means of an interleaving method, wherein the interleaving way number is changed during system operation. A memory access controller (3) may receive an external read request or an external write request while a memory (1) is being copied in order to change the memory (1) from a pre-interleave number alteration configuration to a post-interleave number alteration configuration. With respect to an external read request, the memory access controller (3) reads the memory (1) in the pre-interleave number alteration configuration. With respect to an external write request, the memory access controller (3) writes to the memory (1) in the pre-interleave number alteration configuration and in the post-interleave number alteration configuration.
