PURPOSE: A method for dyeing a yarn and dyeing agent are provided to maximize the effect of materials. CONSTITUTION: A method for dyeing a yarn comprises: a step of removing impurities from the yarn(S10); a step of removing moisture from the refined yarn and dehydrating(S20); and a step of drying and pulverizing one or more materials selected from the group consisting of Caesalpiniae Lignum, Lithospermi radix, green tea, safflower, and wormwood; a step of adding 1L of water and 0.5-1.5 g of sodium carbonate in 100g of the materials and boiling for 20-30 minutes; and a step of dipping the yarn and dyeing for 20-30 minutes(S30).
