PURPOSE: An apparatus for forming an image on a base material in printing and a method thereof are provided to change image gloss because first and second inks having first and second colors are cured differently. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus(100) for forming an image on a base material(110) in printing comprises a marking/partial curing device(120), a leveling device(160), and a following leveling and curing device(200). The marking/partial curing device comprises first and second marking stations and first and second curing stations. The first and second marking stations sprays first and second inks(116) having first and second colors to the surface of a base material respectively. At least a first array and a second array of first and second LEDs(Light Emitting Diodes) of the first and second partial curing stations partially cures the first and second inks with first and second radiant rays and controls gloss of the first and second inks. The leveling device presses the partially cured first and second inks for leveling the first and second inks. The following leveling and curing device sprays the leveled first and second inks to cure the first and second inks completely. |
