Method for producing thermally insulated tubes, in particular copper tubes

The method involves feeding a prefabricated insulation tube (14) made of elastic, foam plastic or elastomer. The insulation tube is laterally split. A blank copper tube (12) is sheathed with the split tube. A split (16) of the insulation tube is welded or adhered after application of the copper tube. The sheathing is subsequently provided with an outer mechanical protective layer (18) in an extrusion process. A wall thickness of the insulation tube is varied from 5 mm to 50 mm. A thickness of the mechanical protective layer is varied from 0.1 mm to 1 mm. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a thermally insulated tube comprising an inner copper tube (2) a system for producing a thermally insulated tube.
