A method, a device and a system for updating home address information of an internet protocol (IP) address related to the communication field are disclosed. The method includes: receiving a user incoming call; querying the number home address according to the user incoming call from a number home address database stored beforehand; querying the IP address according to the user incoming call from a log database stored beforehand; and updating the home address information of the IP address stored in an IP database using the number home address. The invention may be applied to updating the home address information of the IP address in the IP database for service providers, so as to solve the problem that the home address information of the IP address stored in the IP database can not be accurately updated in the prior art.
