The method involves driving a drill pipe into a cap rock while boring a bore hole such that the cap rock maintains the bore hole open. The drill pipe is provided with a pipe element made of plastic. The drill pipe is connected with the pipe element over adapters (3). The drill pipe is driven into the bore hole. The pipe element is cast with connecting pieces (13) of the adapters. Textile reinforcement elements are laid at the connecting pieces and impregnated with plastic before casting the pipe element. The reinforcement elements are laid one above the other in layers. An independent claim is also included for a drill pipe comprising a pipe element.
