The LED lamp has a disc-shaped optical component (16) having an optical axis (22) and parallel side portions (18,20). The side portions comprise a Fresnel lens structure and a scattering structure respectively. A high-power LED (12) is arranged on the optical axis. The high-power LEDs (12',12'') are arranged laterally next to the high-power LED (12) at a distance such that light is irradiated at an angle of about 45[deg] with respect to the optical axis with light intensity of about 3-10% of intensity of light radiated in direction of optical axis during operation of LEDs.
