Filling device and method for filling viscose bulk material

The device has a check valve (AV), and a filling tube (F) arranged behind the valve in a filling flow direction of a viscose bulk material e.g. sealing compound. A clip setting- and clip locking device is arranged behind the tube and a reservoir (W) is partially arranged in the tube. A sensor (130) directly or indirectly detects a length of a hose-shaped packing sleeve material and provides an output signal that controls closing of the valve. The material that stands under pressure is supplied to the tube over the valve. An independent claim is also included for a method for filling viscose bulk material.
