<p>A highly reactive etherified aminotriazine/formaldehyde condensate suitable for combining with oily alkyl resins to give storable stoving lacquers, is prepd. in presence of 0.1-1 mol., pref. 0.2-0.5 mol., of tris-(2-hydroxyethyl)-isocyanurate per 3 amino-gps. of the aminotriazine cpd., and the usual low monohydric alcohols. e.g. BuOH. Products may be stored for long periods, e.g. >600h at 60 degrees C before gelling occurs.</p> |
