Cutting machine - for necks of plastic bottles with blade and counter-guide for rolling bottle during cutting

Machine for cutting the necks of plastic bottles has a blade associated with a counter-guide with which the bottle is maintained in contact and along which the bottle rolls during its passage through the machine so as to turn upon itself as it is subjected to the cutting operation. Pref. the length of the counter-guide is greater than the useful length of the blade. The bottle is applied against the counter-guide by a transfer element with rollers on which the bottle is supported relative to the counter-guide and a rotary plate, the counter-guide having a rolling surface centred on the axis of rotation of the plate. The bottles are supplied to the machine by a transporter to which the rotary plate is connected by an inlet notched wheel and an outlet notched wheel. Guides assure the correct passage of the bottle. High speed cutting is provided. The cut is clean, without external burrs.
