PURPOSE: A backlight unit and a liquid crystal display device using the same are provided to shorten processing time for which an LED substrate is attached to a bracket and maximize the size of a heat emitting area, thereby maximizing light emitting efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A light guide plate(164) is placed on a cover bottom(169). A bracket(163) is located on at least one side of the cover bottom. The bracket has an inner space part. An LED substrate(161) is installed in the space part of the bracket. An LED package(162) is mounted on the LED substrate. The bracket is in parallel with a guide panel. |
