PURPOSE: An apparatus for regenerating activated carbon is provided to reduce the capacity and the size of combustion gas treating facilities by implementing a drying process in the process of supplying waste activated carbon into a regenerating furnace. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for regenerating activated carbon includes a supplying conveyor(100), a multi-staged regenerating furnace(200), a plurality of burners(300), a gas treating part(400), a rotor(500), a combustion air pipe(600), a combustion gas pipe(700), and a combustion gas outlet(800). A heat collecting part is included in the combustion gas pipe, and combustion gas passes through the heat collecting part. The heat collecting part indirectly dries waste activated carbon based on air or steam of high temperatures. The rotary shaft of the rotor is vertically installed in the regenerating furnace. The rotor scrapes the waste activated carbon arranged at a lateral side based on horizontal rotation. The combustion air pipe transfers cooling air of raised temperatures to the burners. The combustion gas pipe transfers combustion gas generated from the inside of the regenerating furnace to the supplying conveyor. The combustion gas outlet transfers the combustion gas to the gas treating part.
