FIELD: medicine, pharmaceutics. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention refers to chemical-pharmaceutical, food and cosmetic industry, namely creating a herbal agent with a wide spectrum of action. A method for making an oil includes the following stages: Cucurbita maxima Dich or Cucurbita pepo Z or Cucurbita moschata (Dich) Poir seeds prepared by deintoxication, decortication and decontamination by steaming are humidified at the first stage of expression by dropping with transferring with the use of a screw conveyor to moisture 10-12%; then seeds are pressed with self-heating to 70-75C; it is followed by the second stage of expression by feeding broken seeds with the use of the screw conveyor which involves seed cooling to temperature 20-25C and drying to moisture 6-7% that is followed by pressing; the oils prepared at the first and second stages are combined, filtered, settled to temperature 20C and finally filtered. The prepared oil represents a greenish brown liquid with specific odour and flavour. The liquid is easily soluble in chloroform, hexane and diethyl ester; its density makes 0.88 to 0.94, an acid value is 1.25 and less, an iodine value ranges within 100 to 140; the a-tocopherol content exceeds 4 mg %. ^ EFFECT: prepared oil is a high-effective agent applicable in various industries. ^ 5 cl, 1 ex, 1 tbl |
